Universal Precautions dictates that any unknown substance should be treated as if it is infectious and contains bloodborne pathogens. Without the proper personal protective equipment, you should not attempt to clean it up. Contact a professional cleaning company and have the area properly and thoroughly disinfected and cleaned.
Currently our main service areas are the GVRD, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island and the Okanagan valley. We will travel to where we are needed throughout the province or beyond if need be. Travel outside of regular service areas will raise the price of the job as travel time, per diems and lodging are added to the bill.

There are various types and strains of mould. Many of them happen to be black, depending on what they are growing on and the conditions they are growing under. Without sampling and testing there is no way to be sure of a species of mould.
Air sampling gives a good “snapshot” of what is happening in the air at that time. Spore counts, concentrations, the presence of mycelial fragments (parts of moulds) all help to determine if there is a current mould issue or not. Remember, mould spores are tiny; just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
The poly is used to create barriers so the mould spores will be contained in the affected area. Spores can become airborne quite easily, so containment and negative pressure are used to isolate the area being worked in from the uncontaminated areas of the home.
The rate of mold growth depends on a variety of factors. If mold has started to grow due to water infiltration or moisture problems, then the circumstances may exist for it to spread... and quickly. It may take as little as 24 to 48 hours for mold to become a serious problem.
The problem with mold is that it isn't just an unsightly blotch on a surface. It's composed of spores whose only goal is to spread and flourish. Mold can easily become airborne, creating respiratory issues and allergic reactions. To ensure the ongoing health and safety of you and the occupants or your home or office, we highly recommend having the mold issue removed by a reputable professional.

Crime And Trauma

Universal Precautions dictates that any unknown substance should be treated as if it is infectious and contains bloodborne pathogens. Without the proper personal protective equipment, you should not attempt to clean it up. Contact a professional cleaning company and have the area properly and thoroughly disinfected and cleaned.
Assuming the source of the smell (fluids or matter) has been removed and the affected area/items have been disinfected and cleaned, the lingering odor will eventually dissipate on its own. However, this can take quite a while and makes living in the area quite unpleasant. One option would be an ozone treatment of the area to help remove any lingering odors.
At Bio Solutions we use hospital grade disinfectants for all fluid/matter disinfections and cleanings. We ensure the source of the contamination is removed and then we disinfect and clean all affected areas and materials. Sometimes this will require the removal of flooring, baseboards and other building materials.
The Tyvek suits, gloves, masks and booties are a part of the personal protective equipment we utilize to keep ourselves safe when working with potentially infectious materials.

Drugs And Paraphernalia

Call a professional company to come and take care of the situation. Dirty needles and drug paraphernalia need to be handled carefully and disposed of properly. You could be putting yourself at risk of a cut or a needle poke by handling the items. We are here to take of these things so you don’t have to.

First is to contact your insurance company and see if there is any coverage for this sort of issue. This sort of issue can become a major cost very quickly and may result in the vehicle being declared a total loss. You do not want to have to pay for all of it on your own. Set traps to catch the rodent. Do not use poisons as the rodent may die somewhere inside the vehicle. Next, get the vehicle to the body shop of your choice. We usually recommend at least the removal of the seats and carpets. The reason being, the more areas of a car we can see and access the more thorough the service we can provide. We can attend the shop to give them direction on what steps need to be taken and what parts will need to be removed replaced, if needed. Once the vehicle is stripped down we will perform a thorough and complete disinfection and cleaning of all accessible areas and all of the removed parts.
Body shops and auto repair shops specialize in the dismantling and reassembly of your vehicle. We do not have the specialized tools or years of training that they have for this specific purpose. We often work closely with shops to provide as complete of service as is required.
We can come and work on your vehicle at your residence if that is easier for you and the vehicle does not require any disassembly. We are a fully mobile company and require only a regular power outlet for most of our services.
The ozone treatment replaces oxygen within a space, with Oᶟ. This gas eliminates many unpleasant odors. An absence of oxygen can prove harmful to the human body. If you see this sign, do not enter the area as you would asphyxiate with prolonged exposure.
