Mould Inspections
Mould inspections are done to determine if there is mould growth present within a building. In addition to visual observations, sensory equipment is used throughout the mould inspection process to locate probable areas of growth and conditions that promote it.

The first step in the mould inspection process is an interview with the building occupants. We determine if there are any health issues that may be mould related. We ask questions about past or present water leaks and mould growth. This will help us determine the best course of action to take in the inspection and whether mould testing is required as part of the process.

During the inspection process we identify the problem areas of the building and pinpoint where the mould growth is. In areas where mould is found we determine the cause of the mould growth. Mould requires water to grow; therefore we look for water intrusion issues, excessive condensation, damp building products and elevated humidity levels. We determine if the problem is active or from a preexisting condition.

After the inspection process is completed, we provide professional advice for the situation. A full written report which details the findings and recommendations for remediation and prevention measures for future mould growth are provided. If testing is part of the inspection process a certificate of laboratory analysis is also provided with the report.
